Since inception, the institute is playing a vital role in training Defence personnel from Army, Navy and Air force.  Mininistry of Defence, Indian Airlines, Min. of Civil Aviation, Min. of Social Justice & Empowerment, Govt. of India and in-service professionals from different States viz., Govt of Nagaland, Govt. of Manipur, Govt. of Mizoram, Govt. of Assam, Govt. of Madhya Pradesh, Govt. of Sikkim, Govt. of Meghalaya, Chandigarh Administration, Ladakh Hill Council, North Eastern Hill Council, University of Delhi, Members of Federation of Indian Chamber & Commerce and Industry, International Airport Authority of India, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Cement Corporation of India, TELCO, UNO, Sanjay Gandhi P.G.I. of Medical Sciences, RIMS Medical College, Indian Airlines, Children’s Home, Private Hospitals, Nursing Homes, Organizations, Institutions, Establishments, Northern Railway, Autonomous Bodies of National & International status, etc.,

      The IPH&H is non-profitable educational organization involved in various Community Welfare Projects and Programmes i.e., Aids Awareness Programmes, Community Health-Care Services, Free Rural Mobile Health Services, Free Rural Community Public School (Primary Education), Immunization programme and Service & Rehabilitation of the Disabled.

      The IPH&H is a Member of the Bureau of Indian Standard(ISI), New Delhi, a statutory Body of Govt. of India for “Standardization” in all fields.

      Apart from providing training to freshers, institute is also providing Professional Continuing Education for the working Professionals.  It offers more than 40 Programmes, which allow access to an extensive variety of educational resources.  Post Professional Courses include various approaches to clinical interventions, technological advances etc.

ABROAD PLACEMENT : The Institute also provides free of cost placement services in India & Abroad in collaboration with various Abroad Placement Agencies, Embassies and High Commissions.  Many Diploma-Holders of the Institute are already working in the Gulf Countries & other Europeon countries.

      The Institute of Public Health and Hygiene in collaboration with the Annamalai University under a Training Programme will be offering five PG degree courses, six PG Diploma courses, four Diploma courses and one Certificate course in Health Sciences beginning from the academic year 2009-2010.
