Prospectus: In M.A. Philosophy, Culture and Tourism Programme, Philosophy develops the critical thinking of students and culture helps to protect and promote the Indian way of life. In this Programme, tourism has been introduced as innovative subject. Tourism with its wide range of constituent sub sector is now World’s second larges industry. The dramatic growth of tourism over the last
25 years is one of the most remarkable economic and social phenomena of the period. Tourism activity has long lasting socio-economic impacts on the host economy and community. The employment impact of tourism goes beyond employment in sectors in which tourists directly spend their money, such as hotels, restaurants and airlines. The establishments which receive tourists also buy goods and services from other sectors that generate employment in those sectors through multiplier effect.
By studying this Programme, students may have ample job opportunities in Hotels, Travels Agencies, Tour Operators and in the Ministry of Tourism both in the Central and State Governments and they can also work as Temple Executive Officer and Arts and Cultural Officer.

Scope of MASTER OF SOCIAL WORK (MSW)
